Column Containing Books Shaman King, Vol. 1: A Shaman in Tokyo (Shaman King #1)
First, I started with anime, quite a long time ago. And ever since I started living in London, I promised myself that one day I would read manga. I must say, it was as good as I remember. The story is about the young shaman, named Yoh, who is coming to Tokyo to train himself to become more and more powerful. There he meets Manta, a small boy, who becomes his friend. From now on, they are having numerous adventures, finding out more about shamans and their role and abilities, and meeting new

I've read the entire series but I'm too lazy to tag each one. I loved the storyline and the characters (Yoh, especially. Always have since I first saw the anime version. Always will!). The story had a heart; the artwork was nice. It's full of action with just enough dozes of comedy to break the monotony. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would have given it a 5-star rating if it weren't for the ending which was kind of meh. Shame really 'coz it was a fun and addictive read for my first ever shonen

Shaman King has a really fun visual style, but otherwise doesn't do much to stand out in the first volume. There is an anatomically correct Tanuki on one page near the front, so I may have to draw on some shorts or something before putting it in my classroom.

I still believe no one could understand my love for Shaman King or have I not found the right place to fangirl about it yet. This series is just as old as me, born in 1998! I have never tried to read the manga before, it is my first manga ever and I wasn't disappointed. I finished it so fast and I loved it. I could still feel the tension in Yoh vs. Ren's fight, even if I already watched the anime several times and knew what was going to happen. Yoh's victory over Ren's is the end of volume 1.

I used to be a huge fan of anime. But never of manga. Not until now.Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy anime but I am very very picky now.Manga was not my thing, not that I had tried reading one, to be honest...I thought that they were boring, for some stupid reason.Guess what... THEY ARE NOT!!! On the contrary, my first manga reading experience made me think that anime are boring! What the actual f...?!?!?!?!I read this one in a sitting! I devoured it!!!It was brilliant, very funny, full of

I absolutely LOVE it!!! <3
