Notice Appertaining To Books Fade Out (The Morganville Vampires #7)
This book had such a great idea behind it but I feel as though it was much too slow going for what was happening. This book works well to continue bringing issues from previous books along, which is a great way to connect the series together rather than making them a bunch of individual stories with the same characters. I merely would have liked a better pace with this book as I would have enjoyed it much more that way.As you would expect from my reviews (it is becoming a reoccurring pattern Im

This book took a little more time for me to get into than the previous instalments. Carpe Corpus resolved all the major plotlines, and this book began without an obvious direction or purpose. As the novel progressed, it became clear that Caine was picking at a thread introduced in the previous book (Ava the AI), and had decided to weave a new story based on that. I enjoyed the plot, even though it read a little like a B movie, (view spoiler)[with killer giant spiders, a homicidal AI, and a

I kind of wish this series had ended with the last book. At the end of that one, Claire and Shane were in love, the evil vamps had been defeated, things were going to change in Morganville and all seemed well. It really was a good ending. But this one picks up a few months later and it's just odd. Claire is being pursued by a hundreds of years old steampunk vampire/computer machine that wants her dead and keeps attacking her. It's just almost too weird. Then there is a video voyeur who has

This was an okay story, but it wasnt one of the best books in this series. The characters in this were alright, although I couldnt imagine Myrnin wearing fluffy buddy slippers! That was slightly ridiculous. The storyline was okay, but it was a bit boring. The main focus of the story seemed to be Myrnins assistant Ada, and some random play that Eve was part of. There didnt seem to be much about the vampires in this at all.The ending was okay, but Im really hoping the next book will be better.6.25

I just went to work for a vampire, was scared by a spider, and got knocked down by a tanning bomb. And thats just my day, not my week.Fade Out was kind of a boring. Like really boring. But it was also a super quick read for me. Pretty much blazed through this boringness while listening to an audio for a different book. I didn't really care about the story line or who the villain was. Or should I say...villains? Either way I didn't care about any of them. I just knew I either hated a character or

What could go wrong after the resolution at the end of Carpe Diem? The age old fallabilities of humans; jealousy and fear of "the other". The jealousy theme is presented between Claire and Kim, and Myrnin and Ada. Claire showed a more healthy way of dealing with jealousy- Ada not so much.I couldn't help reminisce about sci-fi and fantasy shows that have dealt with this theme of the created mechanical being who "loved" its creator: the feminine robot in the 6th season of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer

How much do I hate Kim? Seriously, I don't condone murder, except in books when there are annoying characters. (And Kim is the most annoying!) SPOILERS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>This book made me so nervous. I get why Claire was so worried about the Kim situation and I felt like Shane could have handled things a little better, but I am glad that the author never made a big deal out of it. Pretty quickly you learned Kim was bad news. I cannot believe
