El Ramayana es un libro de la India antigua. En la mitología hindú, asura es el símbolo equivalente al titán o demonio gigante, así que en esta epopeya tenemos el mito de la lucha entre semidioses y demonios, es decir, el combate entre los poderes de la luz y las fuerzas malignas de la oscuridad.
