Me & Chick-lit have broken up quite a years ago. But lets try again, how it goes for the sake of an ARC and for being a good reviewer :P Which i am not. *hiding under my blanket* But the synopsis sounds good.P.S My latest chick-lit experience "The Hating Game" was quite good, so here's come another trial, my lord. xDMy Rating:3.5Favorite Quotes:It must be fun to come from a mixed race family. Unfortunately, I come from a very ordinary family. The only one with any pedigree worth speaking of is the cat. Everybody I encounter turns to look at me: I suppose being a blonde girl might be an attraction in this city. A bit like being a B-list celebrity. For some reason I feel like a cow on display at a cattle fair. I am afraid that someone will end up asking me to show them my teeth. My Review:Maddison was an
This book was amazing, by far one of my top favorite books. It was funny, sexy, witty, I could not stop laughing at this book.
Well.. Let's seeThis review might contain spoilers, I'm not sure how spoilery it will be, so if you absolutely hate the slightest hint of a spoiler please seize to read this review at once. I shall not hide it for spoilers, so there you go.I was excited about this book, mainly because of things like it being "book of the week" on ibooks, and usually these have been really good books that I liked in the past, that's how I found the gem that is The Raven Boys after all, but that is besides the
Cute and funny! And so unputdownable, I couldn't stop reading. This was the funniest thing ever: How old are you? I ask, pretending to be interested.Im thirty-three, he replies without another word. Several awkward seconds of silence follow. At this rate, the conversation is not going to take off.The same age as Jesus was when he died, I finally manage to say. Not exactly a brilliant joke, but for some reason the tension was getting so bad that I just had to break it somehow. Of course, that
What I liked:- Lazy office worker, it's not the hyper-ambitious Miss Perfect nor the adult-earns-living-by-opening-a-cupcake bakery- The TENSION- The setting, I'm not overly a fan of Asia but I loved the change of setting and the cultual set-upit took me as most of the times with this author 20% to get into but the end is always fantastic!
