Ilustration As Books The Dark God's Bride (The Dark God's Bride #1)

An ancient god on a destructive path of vengeance...

Imprisoned by the Archangel Lucifer ages ago, Summit, the Dark God, wanted nothing less than equivalent retribution. After breaking free and successfully retaining some splintered shards of his sanity, Summit set out to confront Lucifer. The Archangel was nowhere to be found. He has, however, left behind his most coveted mortal bride. The Dark God stormed into Hell to capture Lucifer's one and only weakness, but inadvertently abducted the wrong female - his own.

A reluctant heroine...

As a mortal raised among the demons inside a floating castle in Hell, Amara's life is not exactly what you would call normal. When she finds herself abducted by a half-mad god, who mistook her for the woman who brought her up, Amara chooses to hide her identity to protect her foster mother at the risk of her own life.

I hate cliffhangers but I liked it very much.

fastpased different and daum the sparks i get really annoyed when this story is being interrupted by Nala tho

Dahlia Lu has found another fan! The Dark God's Bride was wonderful. I like books that keep you interested by doing flash backs to help describe how and why the current characters are who they are. Some may find this disturbing or distracting, but to me it just makes the book better. The characters were well developed using this technique.I love series books, and often wait to read the first until the third is out. This book absolutely has a big cliff hanger, and I will have to re-read this to

This is the first book that I have read by Dahlia Lu and it won't be the last. Noctis (our hero?) reminded me a bit of Lothaire from Kresely Cole's novels, he is not squeaky clean or really, really bad, but a combination of both. I also liked our heroine, Amara, she is very loyal and strong. There is also a great supporting caste of characters, all having their own stories inter-weaved with the main story line. Already bought the follow on book The Dark God's Bride 2, as I can't wait to see what

Loved this one. I had read a book earlier from this author under a different name and this book has references to that book. Eager to read next book in this trilogy

This book had me entertained from start to finish. A quick read, (I read it in about 4 hours), I was laughing throughout most of the book and a little sad when it ended, luckily this is a trilogy. Amara is the foster daughter of Lucifer's once mortal bride. Yes, that Lucifer, the one and only. She is visiting her mother in Hell, when she is taken hostage by Lucifer's arch nemesis, known only as "Noctis" because he can't remember his name. Mind you, this "arch nemesis" happens to be 6'5 and

I was captivated by this series and was pleasantly introduced to the author, Dahlia Lu. I loved this book and the push and pull we get from the two main characters. Amara is not a weak spirited captive and can definitely keep her own against Summit/Noctis. This book is a page Turner and hot in between too. Please give it a try!
