On the night of her twenty-fifth birthday, alone in her apartment, Air Force Sergeant Christine Canady wished for one thing: a little magic in her life. After drinking way too much champagne, she performed, of all crazy things, a goddess-summoning ritual, hoping that it would somehow make her life a little less ordinary...but she never believed the spell would actually work. When her military plane crashes into the ocean, CC's mission overseas takes an unexpected turn. She awakens to find herself in a legendary time and place where magic rules the land—occupying the body of the mythic mermaid Undine. But there is danger in the waters and the goddess Gaea turns this modern, military gal into a beautiful damsel so that she can seek shelter on land.
CC is soon rescued (literally) by a knight in shining armor. She should be falling in love with this dream-come-true, but instead she aches for the sea and Dylan, the sexy merman who has stolen her heart.

This book was: unusual and intriguing. The plot was: very likable and I enjoyed it a lot. The beginning was: weird, but it grew on me.The middle was: great. The crescendo was: heartfelt, horrible; yet beautiful and heartwarming. The finish/ending was: wonderful, absolutely brilliant. The characters were: all portrayed really nicely. The worldbuilding was: seamless. The language was: good, not really anything to complain about; at least I don't have anything to complain about. The themes represented inUUUGGGHHH!!what a waste of time, if i had to describe this book it would be 'little mermaid meets house of night'... though, instead of Sebastian she got a dolphin... at least the crab could sing!!what a lack of imagination!, even I can steal pieces of other stories and semi write my own, that doesn't make me a writer...
I love love love these books. Bring on the next one .
I totally loved "Goddess of Love" and "Goddess of Troy" and now understood why in Germany "Goddess of Love" wasn't published as the first book in the series like it originally is. This book was so boring. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, there was too much clichee, I didn't like the world which was built here and the romance between Dylan and Christine was...kinda strange mostly the sex scenes.*** german review ***Meine Meinung: "Göttin der Liebe" hat mir richtig gut gefallen, bei
Being a modern woman in medieval times sounds horrible except for the hot mermen ;)
After a rather lonely twenty fifth birthday, Air Force Sergeant Christine Canady wished for a little magic in her life. The next day she boards a plane for a new job in the Middle East and a freak accident causes everyone to ditch out into the ocean. Christine gets caught up in the wreckage and she's pulled down, and just when she's about to breath in the deadly water she's saved by a mermaid who switches bodies with her. Christine had chosen life no matter the price but she didn't know she was
Thanks goodness i was smart enough not to buy this piece of "literature", i'd really really regret my money, even if it was 5 cents..I have a habit, either good or bad: I never give up books, no matter what a torture it can be to finish them. Perfect example of pure torture it was! After finally, finally scrolling the last page, i ended up with 2 thoughts in my mind:~ There's never ever any book (and there can't be!) about mermaids, better than the "original" Andersen's The Little Mermaid,
