*****Scorri per recensione in inglese*****I didn't like it. Maybe I would've like it more if I had the same age of the protagonist.Talking about the storytelling, although some parts of the story are confused (expecially the final part, when the narration goes ahead too fast, even if important things are happening), the big plot twist is very easy to guess from the first chapters. But the thing that disappointed me the most is the protagonist: Anaid is presented as a smart girl, but she neverSo I basically picked up this book for a readathon and unfortunately it was definitely for a younger audience. I love witches and love reading and watching about them. Therefore, I thought that this would be a good read and the premise sounded very interesting, however, it fell flat and the writing was just not done well at all. I wouldn't say I hated this book, as there were some parts that I did really enjoy, but let's just say I was very happy once it was over.
Awesome book, would like to read more books of this author.
I enjoyed very much this book. I started reading it because it was about witches but I thought this was going to be a story set in another universe. No. The main character is a bit commercial, the insecure type of girl. But still, the way the author writes makes your reading very fluid and the plot is full of mysteries that are solved the further you read. The concept is good and the story loveable for those who like witches and to read about the live between mother and daughter. I wouldn't
I thought the ending was a bit of a cop out but other then that it was pretty good.
REVIEWWhile this is a book about witches, it is also a book about the mother and daughter bond. In this case, Anaid is willing to fight the rival Odish clan to save her mother, Selene, from the evil Omar clan. I liked that they had such a close relationship. The story starts off slow with quite a bit of detail as Anaid learns to use her powers. It was surprising to learn how powerful she was compared to the more experienced witches. Anaid was able to do things like turn into a dolphin or fly.
