Explanation During Books Always (Montgomery/Taggert (Publication order) #27)
Darci has never given up searching for her kidnapped husband, Adam Montgomery. But her quest has taken her deeper into the world of psychic phenomena than she ever dreamed -- or dared to go. When the FBI enlists her help in locating the missing father of undercover agent Jack Rose, Darci signs on for the covert operation, not knowing that her attraction to handsome, sexy Jack is about to lead her into deadly territory -- and into an era long past. For Jack has a protector, a mysterious nineteenth-century lady who pulls them into a time and place where Darci is stripped of her abilities. Can she find the key that links to the modern-day crimes she's set out to solve? And will a showdown with a wicked force from the past hold her hostage...for all eternity?Rating Out Of Books Always (Montgomery/Taggert (Publication order) #27)

magically written. elegantly told.
First one I've read of this series and didn't really like it. The story line is intriguing and keeps you in it but the author's style of having Darci ask (too many) introspective questions and delving into too many scenarios or issues from Darci's perspective was too much to keep me interested at times and I would get lost. Maybe it would have helped to read the 2 before this one. It was like watching a 6/10 movie and hoping it gets better. Ultimately a 4/10 for me and left me wishing I had
Jude Deverauxs Always is a fun, sexy little book even though no sex occurs in the story of Darci Montgomery, a woman with supernatural gifts. Deveraux deftly keeps the sizzle going by introducing dashing men who seem to be one thing then turn out to be another. A thief turns into a hero, a potential romance becomes more of a sibling relationship, a past incarnation of lost love becomes a protector. Through it all, Darci and others never give into their attraction. Normally, this would have
I would love to have another story about Darci... I just find it hard to accept it ends just like that...there is sooo much for her to do and I would like for her to grow in her powers. Pls...write another Darci Novel.....and not just make it a Trilogy....
After reading all three books in this series i was really looking forward to Darci finding out where her husband had dissapeared to.. but was severely dissapointed in the ending! She never finds out.. but has to recreate a scenario of re-meating her own husband! I was so let down because through out book 2 and 3 she was deturmined to find out where he was, and never did! I Love most of Deveraux's fiction, but i did feel like she was trying to speed things up towards the end of Always... makes me
MY rating is deceptive since I liked this book all the way till the 2 page epilogue! I wish now some one had told me just to skip those 2 pages! The book would have been better for it!! I mean, what on earth? How does that have to do with anything I have read in the 3 books? Is there to be a 4th? I doubt I will read it. But I was sucked into the story in book 1 and liked the characters enough to continue but enough is enough!STILL I would recommend the book just skip the last 2 pages!
