Evaluation Epithetical Books Socrates In Love
So Im sitting in a German-speaking country, and see a Japanese guy reading the new Haruki Murakami book, in Japanese, on the tram. I make a comment which sparks a conversation which reveals he hated _Norwegian Wood_ and said everyone should really be reading *this* book. Well, as Im not 16 years old (and neither was this guy), and I also feel that most 16 year olds would not handle themselves the way the characters in this book did, I was not at all impressed. Typical love and loved one dies

Let's be honest.......I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS BOOK!!!

I normally hate tragedy, but the tragedy presented at the beginning still urges me so badly to know the story. It's beautiful, and sad at the same time.

Was decent but cliched in places and sometimes the writing was not the best but might have been due to the translation.

Maybe 2.5 bacause all the tears shed deserves at least one star and a half.Grey. Thats the color that defines this book to me, and my mood after reading it. Grey. Not the oranges and reds I was expecting. Not even the feared black darkening it all. Just grey. And that, let me tell you, its pure disappointment. *sighs in frustration*The most important highlight about my reading its that I was crying from page two. TWO!!!!! Yes, Im a softie but still... The thing is that I was a mess at the end

This books, in my opinion, might be the precedent of modern realistic YA fict. In fact, I can say this book is the Japanese counterpart of Green's The Fault is in Our Star. A sick, yet optimistic girl? Check. A wish to visit other country? Check. A boyfriend who tries his hard to make the wish come true? Check. A philosophical and existential conversation performed by two teenagers? Check, check, check.Kitayama's writing itself is inarguably enjoyable (I read the translated version, though). It

A sad book.. An innocent love between 2 friends grew bigger and bigger without awareness. The boy gave the girl the great love, and then was so depressed when she got the leukemia, the diabolic cancer. She was too young, hundreds or even thousands new things were waiting for her. However, she had to face the 4-side walls, to fight against the cancer.
