Relation In Favor Of Books The One (Species Intervention #6609 #6)
The last book in the series for me is a bitter-sweet departure.I loved this world, some of the characters and loved to hate other characters.
Being an ardent believer in Wildlife preservation and active in many causes regarding said preservation this has been a series close to my heart from the get go.
In this, the last of the series I am once again reminded how we as humans are messing up this gift of a planet we inhabit. Being on top of the food chain is something we are truly not worthy off.
On that note, I cannot relay the basic story line of the book since every sentence in this book is one that holds an answer, a plot twist, an ending, a beginning a spoiler.
The author held nothing back in the series and the same is true for this last book.
Showing the reader the best of and the worse of the human race spanning several hundreds of years and including a cast of characters that made me sit up and take notice. Each character has an integral role and each character has a voice all its own. This is true for the animals and the planet as a whole.
Nowhere in this book will you find a Mary-Sue or a Marty for that matter. The characters that seem to be too good to be true usually are exactly that. So trust nobody.
I am back at the start. The bittersweet part. I am glad my questions have been answered but sad that one of my favorite all time series have come to an end.
In the One all unanswered questions raised in previous books is answered.
No good and fairy tale ending for this book depending on who you are rooting for. Evil is present as is good. Who will step away as victors? Will humans get a second chance?

With every ending there's a beginning. That's nothing new for the survivors of the day of the bombs. I was so impressed with this wonderful series. Each and every one of the books in the series is very hard to put down and The One is no different. I found myself drawn into the new world that the survivors entered after leaving the womb. Things were revealed that I had suspected but had no proof of, JK Accinni keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat right until the end. You could neverFinally...a new alien world instead of the old familiar one This is the last of the series although I heard there might be another out in aug 2014. Good thing. I am already having withdraws. Our survivors have surfaced and now live in a post apocalyptic world. Try starting over from scratch with just a few tools. A good thing they have the Kreyven who is no longer such a terrifying monster now that everyone understands what it is. I love the introduction of the new creatures and the evil that is
Book 6 awakens meThese books are so entertaining to read, unknowing twists and turns beckon me to continue on even in the face of terror, betrayal, loss and love. Our last hopes as humans brought to an unexpected close as J.K. gives one last dramatic twist to the survivors. What lays ahead? I can't wait to purchase book 7 to find out!
This had been one of the most emotional series I have ever read. I know it's supposed to be sci fi but It seemed too real to life with normal people.A few nutcases here and there but that's normal too, isn't it? This sensational series got better with every new book, unlike some that fail to keep consistency. I will sorely miss the motley crew of survivors and wonderful animals that revolved around one of the most detailed and original sagas of armageddon I have ever had the luck to come across.
Aliens to the rescue...sadly... A terrific almost last chapter in this inventive saga. I am exhausted with the miriad of emotions the author pulled from me. Now matter what, this series will stay with me for a very long time. This should be called the Hive meets the tribe. Suzy has passed and her twins vie for control of the tribe. Irony is at the forefront as her son Seth turns out to be obsessed with taking control and hates his twin sister Lorna.(The only two names Suzy recalls from her
I'm sad as I write this review because i've finished the series.I've loved this series from the beginning and was eagerly waiting for the last installment. This book has twists and turns and revelations. Questions answered. Sad moments. Very happy moments and Devastating moments. It was everything I was hoping for and more. There were several moments that had me in tears.I've come to love these characters and I'm so sad that this amazing ride with them is over now. This series will make you stop
